Smithsonian Global Sound
I'm really digging the Smithsonian Global Sound website lately. Run by the Smithsonian Institute, it has their entire library of folk music from around the world available for download for 99cents. Some of the stuff is pretty rare and old and the best part is that they pay royalties to the musicians wherever they may be. I can't decided what I want first....Alan Lomax's early blues recordings from the south or bamboo fiddle music from Botswana. hmmm...decisions, decisions.
