Two days of decent sleep and I still have bags and dark circles under my eyes.

New York went well but was very exhausting. Women's clothing buyers are really just glorified shoppers buying in bulk instead of only for personal reasons. In fact, I think a lot of them are just picking up stuff for themselves. Coupled with the fact that everything is at wholesale prices and you don't have to pay for it right away and the shows become a feeding frenzy at times.

The building the show was at also housed the Martha Stewart offices and I hear the new Apprentice loft as well but the closest to a sighting we got was a bunch of drivers and paparazzi out front of the building and talking with one of the fashion editors of her magazine.

All in all the trip was fun. I still find NY to be cool but not some place I would want to live in.

Oh, and while I was happy that I wasn't on that JetBlue flight that had to make that emergency landing, discovering and watching it midflight on another Jetblue plane coming the opposite direction was weird to say the least. The passengers on my flight broke out in applause after it touched down. But...is it just me or are people making the whole event seem more amazing than it actually was/is? I mean all the experts called it the way it went down yet the broadcasters all seemed to want to speculate on worst case scenarios. Gotta love American entertainment.....uh, I mean news.
