My housemate is a quarter century old today.

Ahhh....youth is a beautiful thing, but am I ever glad I will never be 25 again.

Haven't know the housemate for too long; about two months to be exact. B and I found her through craigslist when we were looking for a roommate. We get along well although the gap in years and thinking between us becomes very obvious on occasion. Its not a bad thing, just that we're at different points in our lives. She's still figuring out what she wants to do with her life and I've more or less put that internal discussion to rest a long time ago.

For the most part though she's been good. She's clean, pays her bills on time, and keeps to herself a lot of the time. Everything I could ask for. The "bad" stuff's kind of irritating at times but nothing to stress out about. Like the fact that:

- the girl has more hair and bath products than a family of 6
- buys groceries she never eats
- only talks about boy problems
- is a hypochondriac, neurotic and slightly paranoid (she recently thinks she's having hallucinations at night as well)
- needs a lot of self assurance (I'm not gonna knock someone for putting their faith in power crystals but I do find it funny)

But whatever....as long as the checks don't bounce and I don't have to babysit her she can pray to golden calves if it helps her self esteem and makes her feel better.

Happy Birthday
